The Asian American Medical Student Association (AAMSA) at UNC is an organization that seeks to address the issues that are important to Asian American medical students. This student group provides a necessary organization for Asian American medical students and others who are interested, to meet and exchange ideas, information, and experiences that will lead to professional and personal development. AAMSA aims to be a voice in promoting the well being of the Asian community, as well as to build a presence within the community at large. This group strives to foster relationships among Asian American medical students and faculty. In addition, one of AAMSA's goals is to aid in the recruitment process of diverse medical school applicants. On the national level, we are members of the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA).
