Dr. Caroline Mariano
Geriatrics Fellow, 2013-2014
I am originally from Canada and graduated medical school at McGill University in Montreal Quebec in 2008. I then went on to complete Internal Medicine training and a fellowship in Medical Oncology at the University of British Columbia and the British Columbia Cancer Agency in Vancouver.
My primary clinical and research interest is in the rational treatment of elderly cancer patients. I decided to pursue a fellowship at UNC to improve my clinical knowledge of geriatrics and to work with the multidisciplinary Geriatric Oncology team.
My current research interests revolve around the use practical applications of geriatric assessment and predictors of morbidity and mortality in the elderly cancer population.
