Researched and written by The Milken Institute, an independent economic think tank whose mission is to improve the lives and economic conditions of diverse populations in the United States and around the world. The study is about disease, its affect on economics and productivity. There are many graphs, projections, etc. Since the 7 major diseases the study focuses on are diseases that greatly affect the aging population, the study is valuable for those who are researching aging. There is also interesting information about North Carolina health statistics and where NC stands in relation to other states vis-a-vis disease rates.
