NC Falls Prevention Coalition

Welcome to the North Carolina Falls Prevention Coalition Web site.

According to the North Carolina Division of Public Health, falls are the leading cause of fatal injuries and the second leading cause of nonfatal injuries among North Carolinians 65 and older.*In response, the North Carolina Falls Prevention Coalition was formed with the aim, through education and training, of reducing the number of falls, falls-related injures, and seriousness of injuries resulting from falls.

This site is a key element of the Coalition’s efforts, supporting the group’s goals to increase awareness, education, and training, provide tools and resources, and foster linkages between programs and organizations working to reduce falls.
