For Students > TrainingHubbard Programhttp://www.med.unc.edu/aging/hubbard.htm The Hubbard Program trains students from multiple disciplines to work collaboratively in caring for older patients. Through in-home assessments, trainees gain clinical geriatrics knowledge while fostering an appreciation for the patient's family, environment and home as a context for care decisions. Practitioners and students in the Hubbard Program meet weekly with older adults in the community, often creating a care plan and making suggestions to primary care providers. Members of the Hubbard team work closely with the UNC's Student Health Action Coalition (SHAC), the oldest student-run health clinic in the country.
