AHEC Nurse Refresher Program
The AHEC RN Refresher Program was developed in response to the nursing shortage of the late 1980s. State funding was received to increase statewide availability of refresher courses. As of 2006, over a thousand nurses have completed the correspondence course and 853 of those graduates have also completed the clinical course.
