For more than 35 years, the North Carolina AHEC Program has worked to create a better state of health for North Carolinians in all 100 counties of the state. Out of
the thousands who have been touched by a program or person connected with AHEC, we have begun gathering stories that we hope will help describe our efforts. Touched by an AHEC: Stories from Across the State is a new Web publication that features the inspiring people, places, and programs that have been directly affected by the nine AHECs serving the 100 counties of North Carolina.
