Northwest AHEC Moves to the Deacon Tower at BB&T Field

Deacon Tower at BB&T FieldOn February 25, 2011, Northwest AHEC and the Office of Continuing Medical Education (OCME) moved from their location of almost eight years at Reynolda Business Center to their new home at the Deacon Tower at BB&T Field (photos right). All of the phone and fax numbers remain the same, as the staff gets settled into its new “digs” now located at 475 Deacon Boulevard, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. All US mail and packages should still to be sent to the same Medical Center Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27157-1060 address.

This new space is the venue for Wake Forest (WF) football which is also conveniently located adjacent to the WF baseball field and across the street from the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum where WF plays basketball. Northwest AHEC and OCME are now located in the heart of what will soon become the Deacon Village. The move was part of an economic development initiative supported by Governor Beverly Perdue to relocate a Pepsi Call Center to Winston-Salem.
