NC AHEC Offers Summer 2012 Health Careers Programs
This summer, more than 30 camps for middle and high school students will be offered across North Carolina by the NC AHEC Health Careers and Workforce Diversity Programs. Residential and day camps will offer math and science enrichment activities, hands-on laboratory work, career exploration, and much more.
The summer programming will kick off with the 13th annual Future Leaders Conference on June 1-3, 2012. The North Carolina AHEC, in conjunction with its Health Careers and Workforce Diversity Council, will host this conference for high schoolers at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. This conference is for 9th-12th grade students who are interested in careers in health care. The conference will introduce students to health care professionals, college and university representatives, an array of workshops and speakers, and extra-curricular activities designed with students in mind.
More information on all the summer programs is available here.
