Lisa received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Speech Language Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). She is currently an Assistant Professor at UNCG and supervises graduate students in their first year of clinical practicum in speech-language pathology. Lisa worked in Guilford County Schools as a speech-language pathologist for 10 years prior to joining the faculty at UNCG.

She has been an active member in the North Carolina Speech, Hearing and Language Association (NCSHLA) and has been in leadership positions the past several years. Lisa has served on the Convention Committee working with the exhibitors in 2004 & 2005 and as the chair for the 2006 Spring Convention. She was awarded the 2006 NCSHLA Public Information Award for her involvement with sound field classroom amplification systems at General Greene Elementary in Greensboro, NC. Lisa served on the NCSHLA Board of Directors from 2006 – 2009 and was President of NCSHLA from 2007 – 2008.

Lisa has been an active with the Council of Allied Health in North Carolina (CAHNC) for the past 2 years serving on the Executive Committee as the Health Professionals Representative. She is looking forward to her continued involvement on the Council.
