Jennie Zoski is a Speech and Hearing Sciences doctoral student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is originally from Long Island, New York, where she received her B.A. in English and taught as a high school English teacher. She received her M.S. in Speech and Hearing Sciences, also from UNC-CH, and then worked as an early interventionist and school-based speech-language pathologist in the Boston, MA area before deciding to return to graduate school. Jennie’s research interests include child language and literacy development, interventions for at-risk and struggling readers, and the impact of linguistic awareness on language and literacy skills. Jennie is excited to be involved in many interesting projects at the CLDS, which enable her to work directly with teachers with the goal of increasing literacy skills for all children, from preschoolers through high-school students.
