A CLS Success Story Kevin, CLS Class of 2012
“This summer I will be working at Alamance Regional Medical Center as a generalist in the core lab, microbiology, and blood bank. In the Fall I will be moving to Scotland to begin a Master’s of Public Health program at the University of Edinburgh. In addition to the MPH degree, I plan to pursue a Master’s of Global Health and Infectious Disease and a Doctorate in Epidemiology. With the degree in CLS serving as the foundation of my education, I hope to work with the World Health Organization to bring quality, sustainable medical care to the developing world. The knowledge I gained from the CLS degree will always be integral in my study of Epidemiology and give me a leg-up on others who do not understand the contributions of a clinical laboratory. The support that I received from my fellow classmates, professors, and through the generous donation of the Lanning-Taylor Scholarship will be encouragement to succeed in honoring the CLS program and profession.”

We Want To Connect With You!
Please keep your address and other information up to date in the CLS Alumni Online Database, provided by the GAA. We use the information in this database when sending newsletters, etc.

Give to the CLS Program at UNC-CH
We appreciate any and all gifts! Unrestricted gifts to the program allow us to support students in ways that we cannot with state funds. Also, funds are sometimes used to buy or replace equipment -- we recently replaced unsafe chairs in the student laboratory, and we are currently raising money to buy new microscopes.
Click the menu button at left for instructions on making a gift to support the Division of CLS.
