Position Information 
Here at WakeMed the Systems Analyst I, Clinical Applications participate in the build, rollout, and support of the assigned application(s).  Provides expertise in building, testing, training, and overall application support.  Functions as first-level response for the assigned application(s) by communicating with end users of the system to understand issues and develop solutions.  Guides department management in the use of assigned applications to maximize department performance and management decision-making.  Maintains system documentation.  Functions as a liaison between IS, other departmental system analysts, and vendors.

Experience Requirements : 
Requires one to two years of experience with patient care applications in a similar clinical or technical department within a health care environment.  Demonstrated ability to support the IT applications utilized to maximize the performance of the assigned department. Requires experience in  a Laboratory Setting as a Medical Lab Tech, Medical Technologist, or Medical Laboratory Scientist.

 Education Required : 
Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or healthcare-related field.  Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

 Licensure/Certification Requirements : 
Certification in Epic area of responsibility required, such as EpicCare Inpatient ClinDoc, Inpatient Orders, Ambulatory, ASAP, Radiant, etc.  Staff hired into the role without Epic certification will be required to obtain certification within 6 months of hiring / transfer date.

Hours of Work : 8-4:30pm 
Weekend Requirements : As Needed
Call Requirements : Every 5th night and every 5th weekend

The Integrated Genetics Division is seeking a Team Leader to join their Prenatal Genomic Screening team! 
This position will have second shift hours from 2pm – 12:30am, Wednesday - Saturday. 
This position performs laboratory procedures in a Sr. Technologist capacity in accordance with standard procedures.

The preferred candidate will have experience with PCR & Genomic Sequencing. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: coordinating the work of other Technologists; prioritizing, assigning and reviewing work; advising management of problem areas; assisting in employee actions; acting as liaison with other departments and customers on technical inquiries and test results; training staff; troubleshooting and resolving lab issues to include instrumentation; internal auditing.

License/Certification/Education: Requires a B.A./B.S. in Biology or related life science to include completion of 16 credit hours of Biology, 16 credit hours of Chemistry, and 3 credit hours of math. Must have 7 years of experience in a Clinical Diagnostic Lab setting, 6 years at the Technologist level. Previous experience with performing genetic testing is preferred. Certification in Molecular Biology or Microbiology is also preferred.
