Medical Laboratory Technologist I, Central Processing Area- Microbiology posted 9/9/2016
The McLendon Clinical Laboratories is currently recruiting for a Medical Laboratory Technologist I for the central processing area of the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory. Testing will include reading Gram stains, plating of culture specimens, performing rapid serology and molecular tests. Regular hours are 1:00pm-9:30pm Monday-Friday. Rotating holidays and every fourth weekend are required.

Position requirements:

BS degree in medical technology (MT) or clinical laboratory science (CLS), ASCP, NCA or Canadian registry as a MT or eligible for registration with registration required within one year of hiring.

ASCP, NCA or Canadian MT registry preferred.

Medical Technologist, Temporary, Part-Time posted 8/2016
A temporary technologist is needed to support a molecular diagnostic device clinical trial at UNC. Salary - $15/hr

  • Work Schedule - days, part time (up to 30h/week) for approximately 6 months starting in September.
  • Description of Work - laboratory support for a diagnostic device clinical trial.
  • Education and Experience - bachelor or masters in CLS/MDS; experience in molecular diagnostics preferred.
