Recipients of the 2012 award were recognized during the half-time ceremony at the UNC-Virginia men’s basketball game on February 11, and will also be honored at an awards banquet in April.
Jon Hacke, PT, MA, OCS, has over 31 years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics. He earned his BS in physical education from the University of Montana, Missoula, in 1976 and his BS in physical therapy and MA in physical education with national certification in athletic training from UNC Chapel Hill in 1980. Hacke joined the UNC Physical Therapy faculty in 1995 and teaches courses in physical therapy modalities, manual therapy, and orthopedic rehabilitation. His research interests include rehabilitation of the sacro-iliac, lumbar/cervical spine regions as well as sports injuries, particularly injuries of the knee and shoulder.
