Students and sleep technologists from throughout the region were invited to attend the symposium for free. Several Tempur Sealy International employees also attended.

The symposium was part of an ongoing partnership between Tempur Sealy and UNC NDSS, the country’s first bachelor's degree program for sleep clinicians.  The degree program is offered by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, College of Health and Human Services, Kinesiology Department, in collaboration with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Medicine, Department of Allied Health Sciences.
