International Activities
Denmark
The ergoterapeut program at a Danish University, the Center for Videregående Udannelse Syd (CVU Syd) in Naestved hosted the first of a series of conferences with the faculty of the Occupational Science division at UNC Chapel Hill, with the intent of furthering international understanding of occupational therapy in different health care, community support and educational systems; building collaborative research between the programs and exploring the potential for faculty exchanges.
The conference, an educational seminar entitled Occupational Therapy in a Multinational Perspective, was held November, 18-19, 2004 in Naestved, Denmark. Seven faculty from the Occupational Science division travelled to Denmark to participate in the seminar, meet with the faculty there, and visit sites where occupational therapy takes place.
UNC at Chapel Hill and CVU Syd have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to engage in an ongoing dialogue, collaboration, and exchange.
