Research/Teaching/Clinical Interests

I have been working with people with schizophrenia and their family in the past years, as an occupational therapist and as a researcher. Often I find myself learn from people I work with more then what I can offer, which pushes me to become a better therapist and researcher. In my recent research work, I investigated activity participation, as well as participation restriction, of people with schizophrenia living in the community. A questionnaire has been developed and its validity and reliability have been examined. My former students used my questionnaire in other clinical and non-clinical populations, including depression, substance abuse, and students in elite high schools.

I have taught different courses in the past. I am interested in teaching, or talking about, evidence-based practice, research methods (quantitative), philosophy of science, group dynamics, and theories of human motivation.
