RE: Performance Evaluation of Occupational Therapy Assistants - Regional Training
Since the NCDPI Performance Evaluation Users’ Guide and Rubric for Occupational Therapists was released in June, 2013, multiple requests have been made by LEA administrators and staff for a parallel instrument to evaluate Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA). In response, the Exceptional Children Division, in collaboration with LEA and IHE stakeholders, developed the resource (May, 2014) and will conduct regional trainings on these performance evaluation instruments. Exceptional Children administrators, occupational therapy assistants, and occupational therapists who supervise OTAs should attend. The OTA evaluation is not a required process/protocol and has not been vetted by the NC State Board of Education.
The 2-hour training is free and will be held at the sites/times listed below. Participants can register for any session. Registration will be conducted via the web at the link below. You will need to cut and past the link into your browser.
