The faculty of the UNC Physical Therapy education programs have operated University Physical Therapy (formerly Piedmont Rehabilitation Center) since 1985. We now provide clinical services in four locations:

Family Practice Center-Chapel Hill
Seymour Center-Chapel Hill
Geriatric Center-Ambulatory Care Center-Chapel Hill

The clinics are staffed by the UNC Division of PT faculty, who average 25 years of clinical practice experience. All are involved in educating students in our program and research. Treatments are individualized to each patient's specific needs and goals. In addition to treating patients with orthopedic injuries we have specialty services including foot orthotics and balance. Our faculty also participates as preceptors at the Student Health Action Coalition which provides medical services for the uninsured through a cooperative effort of multidisciplinary students in medicine including physical therapy.

We believe that individuals are responsible for their own health. Therefore, great care is taken to personalize treatment and to educate clients about care of their current physical problems as well as about prevention of future difficulties.

We take pride in assisting our patients in their return to the highest level of activity desired, over the shortest possible time, in the safest possible manner, using the most up-to-date methods.
