A Regional Meeting for Adapted Physical Education

Location:        Rocky Mount High School, Main gym

                        1400 Bethlehem Road

                         Rocky Mount, NC  27803

Time:                9am-4pm (lunch on your own from 11:30am-1pm)

Presenters:      Barbara Meleney, APE Specialist Durham Public Schools &

                          Laurie Ray, APE Liaison for NC Dept. of Public Instruction

 

Who should attend:  Physical educators, Special Education teachers, teacher assistants, paraprofessionals, administrators, compliance staff, related service providers, EC directors, and any other interested parties. 

There is no cost for this workshop. Certificates will be provided to all registered participants, you will need to confirm CEUs through your LEA.

This session is intended for physical education teachers to assist in providing physical education to all students. During this APE session, we will discuss the following topics: eligibility, evaluation, IEP development, progress monitoring, hands-on adaptation of activities/demonstration, ideas to engage all students in PE and lots of questions and answers. Please dress comfortably for activity.
