Clinical Elective Observation Experience

To gain a better understanding of the field of Radiologic Science, observation in the clinical setting is advised. Tours are conducted at UNC Hospitals.  During these tours you are able to experience the clinical environment in which radiologic technologists work. Considering the sensitive nature of patient privacy, you will be required to sign a confidentiality form before beginning the tour.  For more information contact: Lauren Noble or  Andrew Woodward.

It is also possible to contact alumni to inquire of observation opportunities. UNC Radiologic Science Alumni are practicing in many different careers nationwide.  It's possible that you could speak with a Program alumnus without leaving your hometown!  These individuals welcome the opportunity to meet and inform prospective students.
