In October of 1953, the Medical Foundation and Whitehead Society of the UNC School of Medicine published the first issue of what would become the UNC Medical Bulletin.  It was the first publication to be sponsored by alumni and private donations to the Medical Foundation at UNC.  Today, the Bulletin is still going strong, and is currently being published 3 times a year, in Winter, Spring and Fall.
