Pledge to the UNC School of Medicine Class of 2013 Fourth Year Campaign

To celebrate the completion of medical school and the beginning of our lives as UNC Medical Alumni, all graduating students or those who matriculated with the Class of 2013 but will graduate later are invited to participate in the Fourth Year Campaign for the Loyalty Fund at UNC School of Medicine.

• The Loyalty Fund and Medical Foundation have helped keep the cost of our education among the lowest in the nation while providing critical funding to such areas as:
• Step Two Exam Reimbursement
• Residency Travel Grants
• Scholarships
• Faculty Support
• SHAC, HHA, and many other student organizations

• We ask you to make a pledge of $50 per year for 5 years to the Loyalty Fund. That’s $4.17 per month, less than a trip to the coffee shop, to demonstrate our pride and gratitude for an institution that has set us on our career paths.

• As an incentive, your pledge can impact your Advisory College’s standing in the College Cup competition. Your College will receive:
• 1 citizenship point for each $50/5 year pledge
• 50 bonus citizenship points to the College with the highest participation rate

• As an extra incentive, for every $50/5-year pledge received, you and a guest will be invited to a Durham Bulls game on Thursday, April 25, during Capstone Week. The Medical Alumni Association is renting a party deck and will provide free food and soft drinks! (Guests are just an additional $5, to help defray costs.)

• Pledges are due each June, so our first payments are not due until after we graduate, in June 2014. If you are not graduating with our class, your first pledge payment will be due the June following your graduating year.

• Results will be announced at the conclusion of College Cup on Saturday, April 27.
