AMSA Mission Statement

The American Medical Student Association is committed to improving health care and healthcare delivery to all people; promoting active improvement in medical education; involving its members in the social, moral and ethical obligations of the profession of medicine; assisting in the improvement and understanding of world health problems; contributing to the welfare of medical students, interns, residents and post-MD/DO trainees; and advancing the profession of medicine.

You may also visit the national AMSA website which has tons of great information and resources for prospective or current medical students.

Nationally, AMSA has released its 2008-2009 Legislative Agenda. Read through their proposals -- if you see a particular issue or agenda item that interests you, let us know and we will try to highlight it as best as we can here on campus!

MS2s and MS4s: USMLERx and AMSA are offering 5 free scholarships for Step 1 and Step 2 CK Qmax. You do not have to be an AMSA member, but apply by October 10!
