After many years of dedicated service to UNC, Dr. Hyung-Suk Kim, the Facility Director of the Animal Clinical Chemistry & Gene Expression Laboratories has retired.
The Animal Clinical Chemistry services, including clinical chemistry, hematologic, and Luminex testing will be updated and offered under the direction of Dr. Stephanie Montgomery, the current Faculty Director of the LCCC Animal Histopathology Core.
The newly established comprehensive animal pathology service will be the Animal Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Core and services will be running at full capacity in Fall 2016. If you currently have animal laboratory testing to run, please make arrangements with Dr. Stephanie Montgomery: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Gene Expression, genotyping, and oligonucleotide services will no longer be offered through this Core. Other UNC investigators have either chosen to perform this testing within their own laboratory or send samples to an outside company. One possibility for quantitative genotyping is to use TransnetYX http://www.transnetyx.com/ a company that has been used successfully by your UNC colleagues.
