The best part of living in Chapel Hill:
My favorite part of living in Chapel Hill is the low key environment. We have the ability to easily go to a variety of bars or local breweries with different vibes. There are also restaurants of all shapes and sizes in Carrborro, Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh. Or we can take a quick trip to the mountains or the beach for a weekend. If we want to stay closer, we can go biking down the Tobacco Trail, swimming at the ENO river quarry, or kayaking on Jordan Lake. Everything is easy to get to, the people are friendly, and there is something for everyone.

Favorite rotation:
My Favorite rotation was the AMR month. Not only do we get the chance to have spend Thanksgiving with our families and friends, we also get to know each other by spending 5 weeks on the same schedule. We learn a lot of very valuable material that otherwise would not easily been obtained during residency with especially valuable lessons on leadership and professionalism unique to Anesthesiology.

Favorite thing to do in the area:
Hiking! There are so many great hikes in the area! We live within 20 minutes of 5 state parks (Eno, Jordan Lake, Falls Lake, Occoneechee, and Umstead). My favorite after work hikes are the quarry in the summer (for swimming) and the swing bridge/cox mountain trail.
