HELP PAIN Trial

The HELP PAIN Trial is a multi-site, randomized, interventional study based in the emergency department. Potentially eligible patients who are involved in a motor vehicle collision and present to participating emergency department sites (located in no-fault insurance states) are randomized to venlafaxine vs. placebo, and patient recovery is assessed over time. This study is supported by the Mayday Fund. In May, 2015, this study moved to Brown University where co-investigator Dr. Francesca Beaudoin is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine. Dr. McLean is PI of this study.
