Patient Safety

Dr. Tina Willis, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, is Co-Director for the North Carolina Children's Center for Clinical Excellence (CCE).

The CCE's mission is to optimize the health and well-being of patients and families, modeling how to dramatically improve health care by continuously measuring and improving the processes and outcomes of care in N.C. Children's Hospital and UNC Health Care – ensuring they are excellent in terms of being patient-centered, effective, timely, efficient, equitable and safe.

Dr. Willis is the Principal Investigator of the CCE's largest project, Project TICKER, which stands for Teamwork to Improve Cardiac Kids' End Results.
