UNC Hospitals Beacon Child and Family Program is celebrating its 6th annual Carolina Men Care campaign 10 a.m.- 2p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10 in the UNC Children's Hospital lobby. The campaign encourages all men from UNC Health Care to sign a pledge to stand up and speak out against family violence. We welcome everyone to come out in support of this campaign in which men say that abuse is wrong and there are other ways of acting. We hope you will spread the word about this initiative to others in your department or division, as well as communities and families.
Click here on information about how you can take action against gender violence. By signing up, you will receive a decal, as shown below. This will help spread the message of men against family violence. We will be distributing decals on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
This event will provide resources, activities and FAQs to educate healthcare providers about the seriousness of family violence. Health care providers play an important part in responding and advocating as a community to end domestic violence.
