At the Conference...

We are excited to commence the 13th Biennial Midwest Platelet Conference!


WEDNESDAY'S RECEPTION / MEET & GREET (6:30 - 8:30 pm)

Old Well Room, Carolina Inn - For registered attendees only please

  • serving an assortment of hor d'oeuvres: crab dip, chicken & mushrooms, antipasto, salmon, and corn fritters and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

 

REGISTRATION: There will be two registration tables outside Hill Ballroom (our meeting space)

  • For Registered Attendees Who ARE Paid:  Please go to the"REGISTERED & PAID" table outside Hill Ballroom to collect your packets
  • For Registered Attendees Who NEED to Pay:  Please go to the"NEED TO REGISTER and/or PAY" table outside Hill Ballroom to pay and collect your packets
  • For Attendees Who NEED TO Register & Pay: Please go to the"NEED TO REGISTER and/or PAY" table outside Hill Ballroom to pay
    ► Please Note: Tshirts are very limited now and may not be available for all non-registered attendees
  • For POSTER PRESENTERS: Please go to HILL BALLROOM NORTH to collect your packets and set-up your posters (beginning @ 7 AM on Thursday, October 14)
  • For SPEAKERS: Please go to HILL BALLROOM to load your talks into the meeting laptop (beginning @ 7 AM on Thursday, October 14 and during breaks/lunch)

***All attendees will receive a badge/lanyard that details what events they are participating in...please wear or have it with you during all conference events.***

 

PARKING & SHUTTLE:  Parking is available for registered attendees at the Carolina Inn and Morehead Planetarium.

  • Please pull up to the valet at the Carolina Inn and let them know you are with the Midwest Platelet Conference.
  • For parking at the Planetarium, we were allotted a limited amount of vouchers so please see Amanda Chang or a Morehead attendant to pick up your passes (FIRST COME FIRST SERVE).  There is also plenty of parking on Franklin Street in front of the Planetarium in metered slots and the meters stop collecting at 6 PM.
  • Shuttle service is available from the Carolina Inn to the Planetarium courtesy of the Carolina Inn (rain or shine)
    • SHUTTLE PICK-UP FROM THE LOBBY OF THE CAROLINA INN: AT 6:00 PM, then 6:15 PM, and if needed 6:30 PM
    • SHUTTLE PICK-UP FROM THE PLANETARIUM: AT 8:30 PM, then 8:45 PM, and if needed 9:00 PM
