David Allison, PhD

David Allison has been awarded a one year $50,000 fellowship by Debbie’s Dream Foundation which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about stomach cancer, advancing funding for research, and providing education and support internationally to patients, families, and caregivers.

Dr. Allison will be studying the contribution of the polycomb repressive complex (PRC2) towards gastric cancer progression. He is a postdoctoral fellow in the Greg Wang Lab. The lab studies how dysregulation of epigenetic factors drives inappropriate gene expression and subsequent tumorigenesis. Specifically, his project establishes the PRC2 complex as a viable target for chemotherapeutic inhibition in the treatment of gastric malignancies.
