Introducing the 2012 Retreat T-Shirt
CONGRATULATIONS TO BRIAN GARRETT (graduate student from the Neher lab) for creating the winning design in our 2012 Research Retreat T-Shirt Contest! We think it will be a fantastic t-shirt and can't wait to see it in a few weeks!
Concept: The mRNA begins with the spelling of our event details which go through the ribosome (represented by the Tar Heel) and then continues to spell out UNC; the synthesized peptide then spells out Biochemistry and Biophysics.
The t-shirt will be the Anvil 980 Fashion Fit Tee in the color Lake. The dimensions for the shirts are below. For those of you who remember the t-shirt from 2009, this will be very similar. It is a more slim fit and softer cotton blend shirt. Common comparisons are to American Apparel or Gildan Softstyle Tees. Any requests to change t-shirt sizes should be emailed to Amanda (ahc@med.unc.edu) by 10/12/2012.
