RESEARCH INTERESTS:

I am a radiation oncologist who specializes in breast cancer research and treatment. I am actively involved in both clinical and laboratory research. My primary interest is the development and study of biological modifiers as radiosensitizers in the treatment of breast cancer. My clinical practice is almost exclusively interdisciplinary, as I evaluate patients in conjunction with medical oncologist, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, social psychologists, epidemiologists, and geneticists through the UNC Multidisciplinary Breast Clinic. My laboratory research is also interdisciplinary, through collaborations with members of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, including members of the Departments of Pathology, Pharmacology, Medical Oncology, Biology, and Biochemistry.
