Computers
The BRIC Image Analysis Core Lab contains 5 Dell PowerEdge 1950 servers with 2 quad-core processors and 16GB RAM in each. There are also 8 Dell Precision 390 workstations with a quad-core processor and 2GB RAM and a 24” high resolution wide screen monitor. This gives the lab a total of 72CPUs in computing cluster. All data is stored on an EMC NS20 NAS with 10TB disk space, scalable to 64TB, which is backed up by a Quantum PX502 tape library with a 24TB capacity. All of these computers and servers are maintained by a full-time system administrator. Also, a full-time software engineer helps pack the software developed in the lab.
