Program Requirements and Pricing

Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree, or completion of the EMS Leadership Institute at UNC Charlotte, or an equivalent measure of experience and education that must be demonstrated in the application process.

For those who meet the requirements to attend the program, 30 slots have been assigned to this program. For those who are applying based on their “equivalent measure of experience and education,” each case will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

The program is 100 contact hours; program participants receive 10 CEUs.

Absentee policy
Attendance for each session is mandatory. Excused absences can be made up in the following year's program at no additional costs. All assignments must remain current.

Accommodadtions
Lodging and meals are the responsibility of the student.  The program will attempt to make available lodging at a discounted rate and every effort will be made to follow state travel rate restrictions.

Pricing
In-state resident: $1425 for the complete program with discount pricing aligned with early registration or $500 per session.
Out-of-state: $1725 for the complete programwith discount pricing aligned with early registration or $600 per session.

Discounts
If paid 60 days before the start of the program (or session), deduct $300 if paying for the whole program (or $100 per session).

For county organizations serving a rural area defined as a county population of 35,000 (based on 2000 Census) or for city/town organizations, serving a city/town population of less than 10,000 (based on 2000 Census), deduct $75 if paying for the whole program (or $25 per session).

Payment Recap
Entire program is $1425 (add $300 for out-of-state tuition) (subtract $300 for early registration) (subtract $75 for area)

Each session is $500 (add $100 for out-of-state tuition) (subtract $100 for early registration) (subtract $25 for area)

Early registration discounts are limited to the first 20 participants for each class or each session. All prices reflect a $350 discount based on grant/trust funds to offset the cost of the program. Substitutions may be made on behalf of the payer before June 30, 2011. Cancelations will result in a forfeiture of a $200 administrative fee 60 days prior to the start of the program. There will be no refunds within 60 days of the start of the program.

Receipt date of your application will be the date we use for determining discounts and deadlines. At that point, your price will be locked in for 30 days.
