Recreational Therapists provide treatment services to adult and pediatric patients in the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center.  Recreational Therapists are licensed and have additional certification as a Child Life Specialist.  Services are provided in the patients' rooms, the Burn Center Playroom, the Recreational Therapy Pediatric Facilities, the Recreation Center or in the community. Pediatric burn survivors from the ages of seven to 15 are encouraged to take part in a three-day, overnight camping experience known as Camp Celebrate.
