Regional Burn Support Fun Days

The next Regional Burn Support Fun Days will be planned for July 21, 2012.

OverviewIMG_4Regional Burn Support Fun Days take place across the state in the summer. The purpose is to bring burn survivor families together in their own geographical areas so that they can find out about local resources, have the opportunity to network, and find the continual support they need.

The Burn Center partners with firefighters in different areas of the state to provide a day event that includes a mix of activities for all ages. It is a time for families and new friends to meet other burn survivor families, to play together, to find support, and to discover resources in their own communities. In partnering with the local fire service, attendees become knowledgeable about the burn survivors in their area, which allows them the opportunity be part of the survivor support network.

Regional Days thus far have been scheduled in the summer and have only been offered in the east, the west, and the central parts of the state. These events are open to all burn survivor families in North Carolina. Additional events may be added as the need arises.
