From the Director

In recent years physicians have made great advances in the treatment of both benign and malignant diseases in men, women, and children. Aided by a modern technology tool known as the da Vinci® surgical system, surgeons at UNC are on the leading edge of a new surgical era.

Our center is comprised of a multidisciplinary group of physicians from Gynecology, GI Surgery, Otolaryngology (Head & Neck Surgery), Pediatrics, and Urology. Combined we have created one of the leading robotics program in the Southeast having performed more than 2,450 robotic-assisted procedures over the last 5 years.

While you are here, I invite you to learn more about our center and what we have to offer. Not only are we committed to providing the men, women, and children of North Carolina and beyond with the best surgical treatment possible, but we serve as a learning center for residents, fellows, and physicians to expand their knowledge and medical practices with the surgical techniques that are most effective.
