While UNC continues to perform the largest number of pediatric surgeries in the state of North Carolina, our team of pediatric surgeons also leads the state in robotic-assisted surgeries. Having performed more than 50 robotic-assisted surgeries, our Pediatric Robotic Team  treats a variety of diseases and conditions in children with a minimally invasive tool know as the da Vinci® Surgical System. In fact UNC is the only hospital in the state performing robotic-assisted surgery on pediatric patients.
