August 2012 - Graduate student Adam Gracz has received an NC TrACS $2K Pilot Grant (PI) for the project "Establishing a cell line-based model for studying human intestinal stem cells." The funding period is from 5/2012 to 5/2013. Of 11 applications received, Adam's project was one of only four selected to be funded.
Adam is in his fourth year of graduate study in the cell and molecular physiology curriculum and is conducting his research under the guidance of Dr. Scott Magness. He and colleague Megan Fuller previously received an NC TrACS $2K Pilot Grant in 2011 for the project "Identifying cell-surface markers for the isolation of intestinal stem cells from human tissue."
