Deborah C. Rubin, M.D., AGAF, Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology/Department of Medicine and in the Department of Developmental Biology at Washington University School of Medicine to present "Mesenchymal-epithelial interactions in the intestinal crypt and stem cell niche" at Thursday, April 25, 2013 CGIBD Research Seminar. Dr. Rubin's laboratory's research program focuses on understanding how mesenchymal cells affect gut epithelial proliferation in injury and carcinogenesis, and on examining mechanisms that regulate the gut adaptive response following intestinal resection. Dr. Rubin is also a gastroenterologist with a clinical practice that specializes in caring for patients with short bowel syndrome. The seminar starts at 4:30 pm and is held in the first floor auditorium of the Bioinformatics Building. Everyone is welcome.
