Carolina Refresher Lectures: Care of the Surgical Patient

Care of the surgical patient now requires a team approach in the perioperative period to ensure good outcomes. The goals of this meeting are to highlight several key areas in caring for surgical patients including preoperative assessment, high-risk obstetrics, postoperative respiratory failure, pediatric care,and perioperative complications. A dynamic and expert faculty has been assembled to present this educational program, which has been designed for physicians, anesthetists, physician assistants, and others who care for the surgical patient.
