More children with chronic diseases are being cared for in smaller hospitals and outpatient centers. This conference proposes to discuss management of children with systemic diseases such as congenital heart disease or sickle cell anemia who present for typical outpatient surgery. Additionally, issues related to new anesthetic techniques in pain management and regional anesthesia for children will also be discussed. This conference hopes to update the knowledge and skills of CRNA’s and physicians who care for children in the operating room.
