The contemporary management of heart failure is characterized by a combination of evolving strategies and newer approaches that are based on recent research advances. This course is designed to provide a review of both the evolving strategies and the newer approaches for physicians and other health care professionals who care for patients with heart failure. Course faculty will examine issues confronting practicing physicians who are managing patients with suspected or confi rmed heart failure and will provide information that will help them in their clinical decision making concerning these patients.
This course is designed for family medicine physicians, general internists, cardiologists, nurses, physician assistants,pharmacists and cardio techs.

Location
Amelia Island Plantation is Florida’s premier AAA-Four Diamond facility. Located on Amelia Island, Florida, just 29 miles north of Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), the property is easily accessible by air and road and offers a variety of accommodations and excellent meeting facilities. Rates for the University of North Carolina Heart Failure Program are $209.00/oceanview rooms and $283/1-bedroom suite. The rate for the room block is guaranteed until June 17, 2008. Please understand that there is a daily resort service fee of $8.00 per adult per night. This is in lieu of tipping.
