Robin brings over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Robin returned to UNC Health in August 2014 to serve as the Executive Director of Physician Compliance, having previously worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) for UNC Hospitals in Gynecology/Oncology and Obstetrics. Robin has worked in large academic medical centers and not-for-profit health systems in the areas of: regulatory compliance; implementation of health policy; internal audits; physician and advanced practice practitioner education; privacy compliance; and readiness assessment for The Joint Commission (TJC) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). In addition to her compliance experience, Robin has experience in operations and revenue cycle which include: charge capture process optimization, denial management, coding operations (CPT, HCPCS, PQRS, DRG, ICD-9 and ICD 10) and clinical documentation improvement. Robin is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and earned her Masters in Health Administration (MHA) from the Executive MHA program at UNC Gilling’s School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
