This free webinar will discuss the results of the first phase of the ABRF-NGS Study, on RNA reference standards, and will provide an overview of the next phase of the ABRF-NGS Study, which will focus on DNA reference standards and will be done in close collaboration with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Genome in a Bottle (GIAB) Consortium.  Register for the ABRF-NGS Study webinar today!

This webinar follows the publication of “
Multi-platform Assessment of Transcriptome Profiling Using RNA-seq in the ABRF Next-Generation Sequencing Study” as the cover article in the September issue of Nature Biotechnology.

The goals of the ABRF-NGS Study are to evaluate the performance of NGS platforms and to identify optimal methods and best practices through the use of reference standards.   The long-term goals of the study include optimizing the detection of genetic variation with the latest sequencing tools; establishing a community resource for self-evaluation and self-improvement that will allow users of NGS technologies to readily compare and improve their own performance data; and facilitating the evaluation of existing and emerging NGS platforms and protocols.
