The BRIC-Small Animal Imaging Facility hosts a regular seminar given by investigators who present their research related small animal imaging.  These seminars are great opportunities to hear about exciting research from leaders in their fields and to better understand how the SAI can help facilitate your study.

Our speaker for this seminar is Dr. Shawn Hingtgen, School of Pharmacy.  Dr. Hingtgen’ s lab focuses on developing stem cell-based therapeutic methodology for cancer treatments.  Their group has utilized extensively non-invasive imaging methods in stem cell research, particularly, optical imaging including both bioluminescence and fluorescence imaging.  Dr. Hingtgen's talk will focus on developing stem cell drug carriers, and how optical imaging has been incorporated in the various stages of the study as an important research tool.
