This class will introduce the basics of high throughput sequencing technologies. This session will provide an overview of the technologies themselves (e.g. Illumina, Ion Torrent/Proton, Pacific Biosciences), their common experimental applications (e.g. ChIPseq, RNAseq, Methly-Seq), common data formats and conventions, as well as analysis strategies.
Instructor: Tristan De Buysscher, Bioinformatics Scientist, UNC Center for Bioinformatics
