What type of credit does CPD offer?

CPD offers AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM.  For more information, see the About CME FAQ.

What types of activities does CPD sponsor?

CPD holds national accreditation and can sponsor any type of activity that falls within the ACCME and AMA criteria.  CPD sponsors Grand Rounds, case conferences, M&M conferences, tumor boards, and journal clubs.  CPD can also sponsor other types of live activities and web-based activities.  Content can include any topic within the six ABMS core competencies (medical knowledge, patient care, systems-based practice, interpersonal communication, professionalism, and practice based learning and improvement), including clinical topics, administrative or business topics, and faculty development in teaching.  Please refer to the CPD Activities page for more details.

In conjunction with the Clinical Skills Center, CPD can offer patient simulation as a tool for professional development.  CPD can also provide support for maintenance of certification (MOC) activities.
