Dear Class of 2011,

Welcome to the UNC School of Medicine! You have accomplished quite a bit to get to this point, and we congratulate you on your dedication to academics, research and service. We are excited about the dynamic group that will be joining us in August, and we look forward to meeting all of you during Orientation. We hope that the website will be helpful in acquainting you to the School of Medicine, Chapel Hill and student life. Please check out all of the opportunities that are available to you!

The coming year will bring many new challenges. Fortunately, there are numerous resources that you can utilize to make the transition to medical school smooth and enjoyable. If you ever need help, just ask! As second years, we are happy to give you any guidance that you might need throughout the year.

There are a few things that need to be taken care of before you get here in August, and we’ve included a checklist on the website to help you get everything done. Other than those few things, take advantage of this summer to relax and have fun! Until your class officers are elected in September, we will be serving as your class presidents.
